Well lets see... the week before Easter held a whirlwind of commotion at the Youth Center. I went to the local school we partner with to pick up some students. When I walked we had a few students waiting for us and then coming around the corner was one of my 1st graders. She comes over to me and tells me that another student A is throwing a fit in the hallway because he took a cell-phone to school and got it taken. Mind you he is only in the 1st grade, 7 years old. I didnt want him to get into anymore trouble than he was already in so I went around the corner to get him. Boy was I in for a treat. A was throwing himself on the floor, jumping up and down screaming, and throwing things down the stairs. It was CRAZY. I went over to A and told him to calm down and come with me before he got into trouble and he screamed at me "NO! Im mad and Im not telling you why." I told him I knew why and he needed to come with me before he got into more trouble. So he refused and I had to pretty much carry him to the line where the rest of the kids were waiting. We didnt get to stand in line very long, because A decided to take off running down the hallway, I went after him and told the rest of the kids to head to the van because we needed to get him out of here IMMEDIATELY! So out of the school we go A in tow and the fits in the school were nothing compared to what was about to go down. We get outside and he decided to lay on the ground, I picked him up and carried him half way to the van, before I could go any further he jumped down and took off running away from me again. The other lady I work with was able to grab him before he passed the van and where she grabbed him is where he sat down and threw yet another HORRIBLE fit. I was so irritated by this time but all I could do was laugh. It really was hysterical especially from this point on. I had to pick him up and put him on the van, when we got on the van I had to sit on the front row with him, because whenever we stopped he would try to open the door and get out. He told me he hated me, we werent friends, and that he was and I quote, "Im gonna blow you and this van up!" This fit continued for the entire 5 minute ride to the center. At one point he told me that he would talk to me when we got the center and if it was nice he would listen if not he didnt want to talk to me. So we arrived at the center and he refused to get off the van so I once again pick him up and carry him into the center. He was thrashing around like crazy, hitting me, yelling, and kicking. We get to the door of the center and he was really mad at me because during this kicking and hitting fit, he kicked his shoe off and I wouldnt let him down to get it, I had another student get it for me. So as we approach the door the conversation sounded a little like this....
A- "Girl you best let me down or Im gonna rip that weave outcha head.,"
Me- "Go right ahead Im white and I dont have one of those!"
I was rolling the other staff member who was standing there couldnt stop laughing either. Needless to say it was quite and exhausting day. We now look back on it and die laughing over the weave comment. At least I got a good story out of it!

I took Monique out on a Monday to find shoes we hit up like 5 different Payless stores and finally found the right pair! I spent the morning of Prom with Morgan getting Pedicures and Manicures and then getting the final pieces of jewerly! Around 7 I went to the ladies homes and took some pics of the lovely ladies before they left... Here are some pics of the evening!

Me and Morgan

This past weekend I was in Bethany,OK. Morgan had her final interviews for admissions, she also had a meeting with the head of the religion department, and was also able to audition for a music scholarship! The weekend was great! I got to relieve the wonderful college dorm life. We stayed with Ciarra, a student from the center who is a freshman at SNU. We were up Friday night until 2:30 talking and laughing. We even had the RA come in and tell us to be quiet! I really did feel like I was in college. One of Ciarra's friends asked me what I was studying in the fall. I told her she was my new best friend for thinking I was going to be a Freshman, but I graduated 3 years ago! They all laughed. Saturday I got to hang out with Morgan and Ciarra at the mall. We went window shopping and then saw Obsessed I was so stressed out from the movie it wasnt even funny. But anyways Sunday morning we walked in the 5K Memorial Walk for the OKC Bombing. It was a great time. There was a family walking in front of us whose Grandson/Nephew/Cousin was killed in the bombing. He was around 2 years old. It was so touching to see his family honoring him all these years later. It took us 1 hr and 22 minutes to walk 3.1 miles the ladies were a little on the slow side. It was so hot at 6:45 in the morning it was already 74 degrees outside. The walk was nice though. As we crossed the finish line the first lady running the half marathon finished at the same time. She was a 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist! Pretty cool huh??? but anywho thats pretty much all thats gone in lately here are a few pics from the weekend in OKC. Enjoy
